बीजेपी नेतृत्व वाले एनडीए के शीर्ष नेता मंगलवार को रात्रि भोज पर मिलेंगे. इस भोज में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और बीजेपी अध्यक्ष अमित शाह के भी उपस्थित रहने की उम्मीद है. बैठक में बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री एवं जेडीयू अध्यक्ष नीतीश कुमार, शिवसेना प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे और लोक जन शक्ति पार्टी के नेता रामविलास पासवान के हिस्सा लेने की उम्मीद है. लोकसभा चुनाव के नतीजे आने से पहले कांग्रेस एवं अन्य प्रमुख विपक्षी दलों के नेता मंगलवार को दिल्ली में मुलाकात कर राजनीतिक हालात पर तथा सरकार बनाने के दावे के लिए गैर-राजग गठबंधन बनाने की संभावनाओं पर चर्चा करेंगे. विपक्ष को एकजुट करने के प्रयास के तहत आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री और तेलुगूदेशम पार्टी के नेता एन चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी के साथ उनके कोलकाता स्थित आवास पर बैठक की और त्रिशंकु परिणाम की स्थिति में केंद्र में गैर-भाजपाई सरकार बनाने की संभावना पर उनसे चर्चा की.
