Chhattisgarh Government has scrapped monthly pension scheme to people jailed under Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) during 1975-77 emergency period. The scheme 'Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan Samman Nidhi' has been repealed.

- दरअसल याचिकाकर्ता सुहास चकमा ने याचिका दाखिल किया है कि धारा 176 (1 ए) के अनुसार ऐसे मामलों में न्यायिक जांच अनिवार्य है लेकिन ऐसा नहीं किया जा रहा है. इसलिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट केंद्र को आदेश दे कि हिरासत में होने वाले अपराधों की न्यायिक जांच कराना अनिवार्य हो. चार सप्ताह में जवाब देना है केंद्र को.
