CAA Protest Updates: संशोधित नागरिकता कानून (CAA) और प्रस्तावित NRC के खिलाफ शुक्रवार को उत्तर प्रदेश में गोरखपुर से लेकर बुलंदशहर तक कई शहरों में प्रदर्शनकारियों की पुलिस के साथ झड़प हुई, वहीं राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में भी हजारों लोगों ने रैलियां निकालीं और शाम होते होते यहां भी हिंसक प्रदर्शन शुरू हो गये जिसके बाद पुलिस को लाठी चार्ज करना पड़ा. कई राज्यों में CAA और NRC के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन हो रहे हैं जिसके बाद सरकार ने इस तरह का संकेत दिया है कि वह इस संबंध में सुझावों पर विचार करने को तैयार है. दिल्ली, महाराष्ट्र के कुछ हिस्सों और कर्नाटक-केरल के सीमावर्ती इलाकों से छिटपुट हिंसा की खबरें हैं. उत्तर प्रदेश के कई शहरों, कर्नाटक के कुछ शहरों एवं राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के विभिन्न हिस्सों में मोबाइल इंटरनेट और SMS सेवाओं पर रोक लगा दी गयी है. हालांकि दिल्ली में कुछ लोगों ने पुलिस को गुलाब का फूल भेंट कर शांति का संदेश देने का प्रयास किया। संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में अतिरिक्त सुरक्षा बल तैनात किये गये हैं.
