Lok Sabha Election Phase 7 Voting: लोकसभा चुनाव के सातवें और अंतिम चरण में रविवार को सात राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश की 59 सीटों पर 64.06 फीसदी मतदान दर्ज किया गया.
चुनाव आयोग की तरफ से उपलब्ध कराए गए रात 10 बजे तक के आंकड़े के मुताबिक, बिहार में 53.36 फीसदी, हिमाचल प्रदेश में 70.62, मध्य प्रदेश में 75.52, पंजाब में 64.95, उत्तर प्रदेश में 58.01, पश्चिम बंगाल में 73.51, झारखंड में 71.16 और चंडीगढ़ में 63.57 फीसदी मतदान दर्ज किया गया. इस चरण में उत्तर प्रदेश की 13, (हाई-प्रोफाइल वाराणसी निर्वाचन क्षेत्र सहित), बिहार और मध्य प्रदेश की आठ-आठ, पश्चिम बंगाल की नौ, झारखंड की तीन, हिमाचल प्रदेश की चार, चंडीगढ़ की एक और पंजाब की सभी 13 लोकसभा सीटों पर मतदान हुआ. छह राज्यों में संसदीय सीटों के कई बूथों और दो विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में पुन: मतदान भी हुआ. इन सीटों में केरल की कन्नूर और कासरगोड, तमिलनाडु की धर्मपुरी, थेनी, तिरुवल्लूर, कुड्डलोर और ईरोड, हरियाणा की फरीदाबाद, उत्तर प्रदेश की आजमगढ़, पश्चिम बंगाल की बांकुरा, आंध्र प्रदेश की चित्तूर संसदीय सीटों के कुछ बूथ और चंदगिरी विधानसभा सीट और ओडिशा जिले के 34 विधानसभा प्रखंड शामिल हैं. तमिलनाडु में चार विधानसभा सीटों पर, कर्नाटक में दो और पणजी विधानसभा सीट पर उपचुनाव के लिए भी मतदान हुआ.
