भारतीय मूल की टोनी एन सिंह बनीं Miss World 2019, तीसरे नंबर पर रहीं भारत की सुमन राव

इस साल विश्व सुंदरी (मिस वर्ल्ड) का ताज जमैका (Jamaica) की टोनी एन सिंह (Tony-Ann Singh) के सिर सजा और भारत की सुमन राव (Suman Rao) यहां आयोजित सौंदर्य प्रतियोगिता में तीसरे स्थान पर रहीं. इस प्रतियोगिता में 23 वर्षीय सिंह को विजेता घोषित किया गया. चिकित्सक बनने की चाहत रखने वाली सिंह के पिता ब्रैडशॉ सिंह भारतीय कैरेबियाई हैं और उनकी मां जहरीन बैले अफ्रीकी-कैरेबियाई हैं.

प्रतियोगिता में फ्रांस की ओपेली मेजीनो दूसरे और भारत की राव तीसरे स्थान पर रहीं. राजस्थान की रहने वाली 20 वर्षीय राव सीए की छात्रा हैं. उन्हें इस साल जून में मिस इंडिया वर्ल्ड 2019 (Miss India World 2019) चुना गया था.

एक्सेल लंदन में शनिवार को आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम की मेजबानी ब्रितानी टेलीविजन हस्ती पियर्स मोर्गन ने की.

सिंह ने खिताब जीतने के बाद इंस्टाग्राम पर लिखा, ''मेरे मन में प्रेम और आभार है. मुझ पर भरोसा करने के लिए शुक्रिया. आपने मुझे स्वयं पर भरोसा करना सिखाया. मैं 69वीं विश्व सुंदरी का खिताब जीतकर सम्मानित महसूस कर रही हूं और मैं आपकी आभारी हूं.''
