हापुड़ लिंचिंग केस (Hapur Lynching Case) में मंगलवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट (Supreme Court) में सुनवाई होगी. सितंबर 2018 में हापुड़ लिंचिंग मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने विशेष आदेश जारी किया था. कोर्ट ने अपने आदेश में इस मामले की जांच मेरठ रेंज के IG की निगरानी में कराने को कहा था. कोर्ट ने IG को कहा था कि वह लिंचिंग को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के तहत कार्रवाई करेंगे. वहीं मृतक कासिम के बेटे ने इस मामले की जांच यूपी एसआईटी को न दिए जाने की मांग करते हुए भी एक याचिका सुप्रीम कोर्ट में लगाई थी. इस याचिका पर इसी साल फरवरी में सुनवाई करते हुए कोर्ट ने यूपी पुलिस से जवाब भी मांगा था. बता दें 18 जून को हापुड़ में लोगों के एक समूह ने गौहत्या में शामिल होने के संदेह पर 64 वर्षीय समयुद्दीन और कासिम कुरैशी ने जमकर पिटाई की. इस घटना में दोनों गंभीर रूप से जख्मी हो गए थे. बाद में कासिम की मौत हो गई थी. इस मामले में NDTV इंडिया ने स्टिंग किया था, जिसमें पुलिस की जांच में कई खामियां नज़र आईं थी और खुद आरोपी ने गुनाह कबूला था.
