मध्यप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री कमलनाथ ने सोमवार शाम को कहा कि उनकी सरकार प्रदेश में राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या पंजी (एनपीआर) लागू नहीं करेगी. कमलनाथ ने एक विज्ञप्ति जारी कर स्पष्ट किया, ''मध्यप्रदेश में वह वर्तमान में एनपीआर लागू नहीं करने जा रहे.'' उन्होंने कहा कि एनपीआर की जिस अधिसूचना की बात की जा रही है, वह 9 दिसम्बर 2019 की है. इस अधिसूचना के बाद केंद्र की सरकार ने संशोधित नागरिकता कानून (सीएए) बनाया, अर्थात जो एनपीआर अधिसूचित किया गया है, वह सीएए, 2019 के तहत नहीं किया गया है.
देश के सबसे बड़े बैंक भारतीय स्टेट बैंक की क्रेडिट कार्ड इकाई एसबीआई कार्ड्स और पेमेंट सर्विसेस को भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड (सेबी) से आरंभिक सार्वजनिक निर्गम (आईपीओ) की अनुमति मिल गयी है. कंपनी ने नवंबर में सेबी के पास इसके लिए आवेदन किया था. सेबी ने 11 फरवरी को कंपनी को इसकी इजाजत दे दी है.
