Pallava Bagla. A highly respected voice on Indian television, he is a leading Indian science communicator, widely respected for his deep understanding of the country’s science and technology landscape. Known for explaining complex ideas in simple language. His pioneering coverage of India’s Moon, Mars and Human (Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan and now Gaganyaan) missions on New Delhi Television, where he is the Science Editor, has been widely acclaimed. Over two decades, his reporting for the global journal Science has showcased India to the world included defence and nuclear coverage. A three-time National Award winner, he also received the prestigious David Perlman Award for Excellence in Science Journalism in 2010, considered the `Oscar of Science Journalism’ and the Red Ink Awards including the agriculture journalism award from The World Bank’s agriculture unit. He has also held key leadership roles in global science journalism bodies like the World Federation of Science Journalists and was two term President of the International Science Writers Association. He has authored over a dozen books and a well-known photographer.
