Fighting corruption through RTI
It was a familiar tale of corruption at the 24 children's homes in the capital. Money meant for food and clothes were being stolen by officials. Raaj Mangal Prasad, a child rights activist started investigating it three years ago. He filed an RTI application to look at the tenders for various items bought by these homes over the years. Most of the tenders he found were fake!
