Mominul Haque, the winning skipper, is up for a chat. He says, he is really happy to win his first overseas game. Adds that the juniors performed really well to keep the team in the game. Also says Mehidy Hasan could perform on a flat wicket and he went onto pick up nine wickets which is very impressive. Ends by saying it was really a team effort that helped them to seal the victory.
Mahmudullah, Man of the Match, is up for a chat. He says, he always liked to contribute for the team and fortunately they went onto win the game. Also says he was happy to see all smiles around him. Adds that Liton Das batted really well, also he was having fun with Taskin Ahmed in the middle and they only aimed to build the partnership. Adds that there is always pressure when you play international cricket. Ends by saying he went back to his basics to see off the game.
Brendan Taylor is up for a chat. He says they needed to seize the moment but they fell short of it. Also praises the opposition for their effort. Adds that Takudzwanashe Kaitano showed a lot of character on his debut. He also says they let Bangladesh walk over them. Adds that they need to be at their absolute best in the white ball series and would look to give it their all.
Zimbabwe started the Test game on a good note. They were looking solid with the ball. It was all about theirs pacers as they restricted Bangladesh to 132 for 6 at one point. But they lost the grip of the match soon after. Courtesy of a crucial stand for Bangaladesh by Mahmudullah and Liton Das. Das fell short of his century just by five runs. But the former went onto to score 150 runs to take the team to safer shores. Also a handy innings by Taskin Ahmed with the bat helped Bangladesh to a massive score of 468 runs. In the second innings the top-order of the hosts were the one who muscled their innings, as their tail enders did not trouble much as the side skittled out for 276 runs. Then Shadman Islam ​​​​Najmul Hossain Shanto both played brilliant knocks and scored a century respectively which led Bangladesh to declare for 284 for 1. And Zimbabwe in the chase were not able to rise to the occassion as they got all out for 256.
Bangladesh never looked out of the game. They knocked out three wickets by the end of Day 4. As Taskin Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan all picked up a wicket each before the end of Day 4 to put Zimbabwe on the backfoot. On the final day, after an hour mark,  Bangladesh started chipping away wickets. Mehidy snared three wickets while, Taskin Ahmed snared four wickets. Ebadot Hossain just picked up a single to get the penultimate wicket. In the end, Mehidy Hasan picked up his fourth wicket to get rid of the final batsman and seal the victory for Bangladesh.
On Day 4, Zimbabwe started the chase of 477 runs. Shumba was the first one to depart. Then the skipper Taylor and Kaitano's pair powered their innings. Both were playing contrasting roles. One was on the attack while the other one was defensively stronger. But the skipper lost his track on 92, while Kaitano made his walk back to the shed on just 7 runs but off 102 balls. The pair of Tiripano and Myers started well for the hosts on the final day. They were solid for the first hour into the play. But post the Drinks break, everything was scattered as they kept losing wickets at quick interval. Three batters came in and went back without troubling the scoreboard much. Leaving Tiripano as a sole spectator at the other end. It was then Nyauchi who complimented well for a quite sometime. But could not last in the middle for long. Tiripano also went onto score his fifty and got out once he crossed that mark. It was then Muzarabani and Ngarava who played along for some time but could not last for long as Ngarava gave away his wicket.

Right. Bangladesh are just a few steps away from lifting the trophy. They need three more wickets. We just have to see how quickly they wrap things up. It does not look good for the hosts but can they spring a surprise. Anything can happen. Join us for the action, as the second session gets underway. We will be back at 1210 local time (1010 GMT).
Zimbabwe had a good start to the day. Both the batters survived the initial first hour of the game by the skin of their teeth though. As the opposition dropped a few catches. But post the drinks break it all went haywire. They first lost Dion Myers, as a crucial stand between Tiripano and him came to an end. Later Tiripano survived till Lunch, but he kept losing his teammates on the other end. The next three batters Timycen Maruma, Roy Kaia and Regis Chakabva were sent backpacking in a short span. They hardly troubled the scoreline as the first two batsmen were knocked out on naughts and a run from the latter. It is now Donald Tiripano and Victor Nyauchi who have a long way to go in this match if they want to get a draw out of it. But it looks to be difficult.
Bangladesh are well on top at Lunch on Day 5. They bowled 27 overs in the first session and took 4 wickets. The first 17 overs were wicketless for Bangladesh i.e. till the Drinks break. But after the break, Mehidy Hasan struck in no time as he dismissed Dion Myers. He also went onto pick up another wicket of Timycen Maruma through a plumb LBW. Later it was Taskin Ahmed who added fire to the attack and picked up two more wickets to put Zimbabwe in all sorts of trouble.

Hello and warm welcome to Day 5 of the one-off Test match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. Bangladesh are well on top at the moment. They posted a huge target for the hosts to chase. While, Zimbabwe lost three wickets by the end of Day 4. The burden is now on Myers and Tiripano to give their team a solid start. The most likely result that the hosts can pull out of this fixture is a draw, only if they can see off the 90 overs. Bangladesh need 7 more wickets to win this game. Right then! That is all we have from Day 4 from this Test between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. We come back on 11th July for the final day as Zimbabwe still need 337 to win. Coming to Bangladesh, they batted really well to score 284 in their second innings in the first part of the day. Shanto and Shadman Islam scored tons while Hassan missed out on a half-century. Ahmed took the wicket of Shumba early but they had to wait a long time to get the second one as it was taken by Mehidy Hasan. Towards the end of the day, Shakib took the big wicket of Kaitano to put them well on top of the game. Now they need 7 more wickets to win the game. Patience remains the key for them as a few quick wickets will put the game in their grip very firmly.
Bangladesh set a massive target of 477 for Zimbabwe to win the Test. They took the wicket of Shumba quite early but had to wait a while to get the second one. Taylor and Kaitano stitched a lovely stand for the second wicket in completely contrasting fashion. Taylor took the attack to the opposition, looked to score boundaries and raced to his 50. He would have wanted to score a ton, but fell just short of it. Kaitano, on the other hand, had his mind set on blocking most of the deliveries that came to him. He took 39 balls to get off the mark and was very patient in the middle. He did give a simple chance while batting with Taylor but was lucky that Hossain did not hold onto it. But his marathon came to an end as he fell for 7 from 102 deliveries towards the fag end of the day.

What a session for Bangladesh! First, they scored more than 100 runs to get their lead to 476 and then took a wicket early on. Zimbabwe have already lost their first wicket thanks to a brilliant delivery by Taskin Ahmed. Bangladesh started with spinners at both ends. They started to put pressure straight away, with some tight bowling from Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan, but Taskin struck in his very first over. Now Zimbabwe have to play patiently and make sure they don't lose any more wickets. Currently, Brendan Taylor and Takudzwanashe Kaitano are batting with the latter yet to get off the mark despite facing 26 balls. These two batters batted really well in their first innings and would hope to do the same and bat till Stumps at the very least. Will they be able to?
