Their spinners were outstanding, sharing six wickets between them, with Mohammad Nawaz leading the charge. They had the Windies on the ropes, but a couple of costly overs from the pacers and some untimely extras swung the game out of their grasp.
Earlier in the game, after opting to bat first, Pakistan struggled to find any rhythm and could only manage a modest total. None of their batters really settled in, with the lone bright spot being a 60-run stand between skipper Salman Agha and Hasan Nawaz that offered some hope in an otherwise underwhelming effort. Jason Holder stole the show with the ball, delivering a brilliant four-wicket haul and surpassing Dwayne Bravo to become the leading wicket-taker for West Indies in T20Is. Gudakesh Motie chipped in with two crucial strikes, while Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, and Roston Chase claimed one apiece to keep the visitors in check.
West Indies found it tough to get going in the Powerplay, losing both openers early. Shai Hope and Roston Chase offered some resistance, but their inability to stitch a partnership and persistent struggles against spin kept the pressure on as wickets continued to tumble. Just when things looked bleak, a quickfire cameo from Gudakesh Motie reignited their hopes, though the job was far from done. Romario Shepherd landed a few hefty blows to bring the equation down, and in the end, Jason Holder held his nerve, sealing the win with a boundary off the final ball.
