Indian skipper, Priyam Garg says that he is very happy with the performance of his team and wants to continue with the same. Adds that they have played in all conditions and learnt to handle the pressure. Tells that Sri Lanka's game was tough and this one was a close fight. On facing Australia, Garg says that every game is important and tough from here onward.
New Zealand's skipper, Jesse Tashkoff says that they knew it was going to be a good wicket. Credits India for posting that total. Adds that the boys at the top did a great job. Mentions that there are a lot of positives to take from this match and also from the last game against Sri Lanka. Smiles and says that the match between Sri Lanka and Japan will be interesting and they will be following it closely. Feels that if they manage to get to the next round, facing West Indies will be a great match.
RAVI BISHNOI IS THE MAN OF THE MATCH AGAIN! Says that it was a good surface to bowl on although it wasn't turning much. Shares that he concentrated on bowling wicket-to-wicket line. Admits that New Zealand got off to a good start but he stuck to his basics and bowled wicket-to-wicket. Feels that the total was good as their batsmen batted superbly. Tells that like any other leg spinner, he idolizes Shane Warne and also Anil Kumble Sir. Mentions that they are happy and excited to face Australia in the next match.
Earlier, India were going strong after the Kiwis elected to bowl, getting to 100 in 20 overs before rain changed the complexion of the game. It got shortened, which perhaps gave the Black Caps a chance of winning but India were just too good. Please stay tuned for the presentation...
Ravi Bishnoi was touted as the threatening bowler but it was Atharva Ankolekar who did the majority of the damage. After the opening wicket was taken, Atharva ran through the middle order, breaking the opposite team's backbone. Thereafter the game was played for mere formality. The spinners created most of the ruckus, picking up 7/58 in 10 overs between them. Excuse me - is the World Cup really being played in South Africa?
The Black Caps did offer a semblance of a fight, as they looked to make a fist of the run chase. The openers added 51 in 5 overs, which is what Powerplay 1 was all about. But once the first wicket fell, they started falling back in the chase. Fergus Lellman provided some sort of an impetus but his dismissal just signalled the end of the chase.
Another comprehensive win for India. They now top the group and meet Australia in the quarter-final on Tuesday. Once the DLS target was revised to 192, it looked highly unlikely that the Kiwis will topple it and it stayed that way.

OUT! A 4-wicket haul for Bishnoi but this has to be the fielder's wicket. WHAT A CATCH! One for the highlight reel and definitely a contender for one of the best catches in this tournament so far. Tossed up ball on middle, fuller in length, Wheeler-Greenall goes for the slog sweep after stepping down the track but gets more height than elevation. Akash Singh has gone airborne in the deep mid-wicket region and does really well to catch it first and then keep it in his grasp as he lands. Effectively done.
